EDUCATION

The educational theatre repertory is our most important program, bringing students the greatest classic books in world literature through large 1st-rate live performances.

This program responds to a need of students to experience live representations of literature classics that make an integral part of their English (or Spanish or Arts) curriculum, to complement the study and analysis in class. By faithfully representing its classic treatment in concordance to its book source for pedagogical purposes, these big stage productions constitute a critical contribution to their well-rounded education and intellectual development, and an essential educational tool for teachers in their curriculum.

And because the arts and literature are integral to the growth of every student, Dramarama believes that all of our communities’ Public, Charter and Private school students should have access to this classic theatre and experience the timeless themes and language of these books in live performance.

STUDENT MATINEES (levels 1 – 12)

Student Matiness will be at 9:30am and 11:30am. Each school receives:

• Special-price group tickets (1 courtesy for teachers every 20 students)
• Curriculum guides with plans and discussion questions to support teaching the play
• Post-show discussion with the cast of the show immediately following the performance
